Child Tax Credit Still Not Received? Here’s How You Can Track It

September 15 was the day when IRS started sending out the third installment of child tax credit advance payments to the Americans who opted for it.

Now, days later, the biggest question is – Have you received the payment?

If you haven’t, IRS has set up an online platform where you can track your payment.

That’s not it. You can use the portal to:

  • Opt-out of a child tax credit payment.
  • Manage monthly payments &
  • Update your bank direct deposit information for the payment you’ll receive in October.
  • Check to see if you are currently enrolled to receive them.

The portal will have you set up an account through a third-party verification platform called ID.me.

When tracking your child’s tax credit benefits, you must provide personal information such as your ITR filing status, social security number, and your son or dependent’s information.
