Child Inside Stolen Vehicle In DC Located Safely, Police Say

On Monday, October 31, just before 7:50 p.m., the Metropolitan Police Department issued a report about a stolen 2014 green Kia Seoul with a Virginia license plate that had been taken from the 1700 block of Columbia Road in Northwest DC.

According to authorities, there was a 5-year-old child inside the Kia when it was stolen.

The potentially frightening situation came to pass swiftly, and at around 8 p.m. on Monday, authorities declared that the child had been found and was safe.

A boy who was inside a car that was stolen on Monday night was immediately located by police in Washington, DC, according to officials. Investigators located the child in the Northwest at 29th Street and Cathedral Avenue.
