Chicago Woman Defended Herself Against Carjacking by Shooting the Suspect in the Head with Concealed Carry License Foils

This past week, four armed men attempted to carjack a 23-year-old lady on the South Side of Chicago, but she could protect herself with the concealed weapon permit she had obtained.

The unidentified female victim was sitting in her car at around 2 a.m. on Wednesday in the Calumet Heights neighborhood, close to 89th Street and Kenwood Avenue intersection, when four guys emerged from a black sedan, as reported by a local CBS affiliate.

The woman shot him in the head and ran away

One of the males reached for her car door while wielding a gun; the woman shot him in the head and ran away. She was rushed to Advocate Trinity Hospital in fair condition after being shot in the left arm by one of the other men.

Although the woman’s other three attackers managed to flee the scene, the man she shot in the head was reportedly rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center in severe condition.
