Chicago is holding a contest to name six snowplows.
The city will conclude submissions on January 6, or when it gets 20,000 entries. Submit at chicagoshovels.org.
The Department of Streets and Sanitation will choose 50 finalists, and from January 15–31, voters will choose six winners.

One snowploughs in each of the city’s six snow districts will be renamed.
After naming, residents can view the named snowplows as well as the entire fleet at chicagoshovels.org.
