Chicago police say a little kid, aged 3, was shot in the leg in an accident near Austin on Thursday night.
The 100 block of North Latrobe had an unintentional pistol discharge, according to the Chicago Police Department.

The toddler, all of three years old, took a blow on the shin. The Chicago Police Department said that he was in stable condition when he was brought by EMS to Stroger Hospital.
There was a lack of information at the time.

The police did not disclose whether or not someone was in custody or whether or not charges were being filed.
The investigators from Area 4 are looking into it.
