California Mother Accused of Killing 9-year-old Daughter at Home
A mother from California was taken into custody on suspicion of murdering her daughter, who was nine years old and was discovered dead in their residence in Orange County on Friday.
Khadiyjah Aliyyah Ali Pendergraph, 32, was taken into custody in connection with the passing of her kid at a shopping center located within the city of Aliso Viejo. She was then transported to the Orange County Jail.
According to Fox 11, officers from the Westminster Police Department were dispatched to the 14100 block of Goldenwest Street in Westminster just after noon on Friday in order to conduct a welfare check in response to a call from a worried family member.

According to the police report, officers pushed their way inside the house and located the body of the girl inside with signs of torture.
Pendergraph, who was not at home when cops discovered the body, was eventually located at the shopping center in Aliso Viejo and detained there.
“While police officers are exposed to tragedies on a daily basis, this murder is particularly disturbing, due to the senseless loss of a child allegedly at the hands of her own mother,” said Westminster Police Chief Darin Lenyi in a statement.
The inquiry into the case is still ongoing.
