California Counties with High Level of COVID Activity in California

Los Angeles County was classified as having “low” COVID-19 activity by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday.

As a result, the county has repealed its indoor mask mandate, which takes effect on March 4 after the state law was repealed on February 16.

Despite Los Angeles County delaying the mandate until the CDC made it public, it was not the only county in California to stay in the “high” category.

Other Counties in California with Strong COVID-19 Presence

According to the California examiner, Kern County, north of Los Angeles, remains incredibly hot.

Meanwhile, Bakersfield, the county seat which has a population of over 900,000, is encouraging indoor masking.

The counties of Tulare and Kings hold higher numbers (on Corvid 19 presence) than the latter. On these parts, the “medium” category includes Madera and Mariposa north of Fresno.

Also in the Sierra Nevada foothills, Amador County’s experience with Corvid is quite high. On the north coast of the state, Mendocino County, north of Sonoma County, is rated high too.

Trinity, Modoc, and Del Norte, located on the Oregon border, are the remaining three counties in this group too.

California adopted an “endemic” approach to the coronavirus on Thursday, to help combat the virus outbreaks.
