Two people were hurt in a school bus and SUV incident on Friday morning in Burleson. Police emphasized that there were no schoolchildren on the bus when it crashed.
Immediately after 8 in the morning, Burleson police were called to the intersection of Northwest Summercrest Drive and Southwest Wilshire Boulevard.
According to Burleson Police Chief Billy Cordell, the SUV’s driver was flown to the hospital by CareFlite, while the bus driver was transported there by EMS.
According to Cordell, he is still unaware of the current health of either driver.

According to Cordell, the accident’s cause is still being looked at. BPD accident reconstruction officers were still present at the scene as of 10:40 a.m. and were continuing to question witnesses, Cordell noted.
