Arrests Made in Nye County Homicide Case, Third Suspect Still Wanted

Two suspects have been taken into custody in connection with a recent killing, according to the Nye County Sheriff’s Office, while a third suspect remains wanted.

NCSO dispatch got a contact on December 26 at approximately 4:15 a.m. from a resident on W. Wilson who later identified himself as Jonathon Reyes.

The homeowner reported that he had an unknown individual in his backyard holding a gun to his head.

The Nye County Sheriff’s Office announced that two suspects are in custody following a recent homicide while a third remains at large:

After arriving at the scene, members of the NCSO discovered that Reyes had died from what seemed to be a gunshot wound.

Edward Travis Parrett, 32, Clifton “C.J.” Lee Pfeifer Jr., 33, and Stefanie Erin Vazzo, 33, were identified as the three main suspects by the NCSO staff.

All three suspects were acquainted with one another. According to the statement made by the sheriff’s office, “this did not appear to be a random act.”

Both Pfeifer and Vazzo were taken into custody on the 26th of December. Investigators have stated that Parrett should be regarded armed and dangerous regardless of whether or not he is currently in custody.
