Armoured Van Guard was Shot During an Attempted Robbery Outside Carson Bank

On Monday, an armed van guard was shot and injured during an attempted robbery at a Carson-area Bank of America branch.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reports that no one has been detained in relation to the incident that took place on Monday at 11:30 a.m. in the 23800 block of South Vermont Avenue.

White Armoured Cargo Vehicle

Several evidence markers were seen in the vicinity of the white armoured cargo vehicle. 
The injured guard was hospitalised with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The thieves, identified simply as two individuals, were not immediately described in detail. They ran away in a black Chevrolet Volt.
