Stimulus Checks

While a fourth stimulus check is out of the horizon for now after a divided house and Senate, there are three more direct payments for stimulus checks that you might be eligible for.

Golden Stimulus Check

If you’re currently living in California, you’re already halfway eligible for this stimulus check.

However, the Golden Stimulus Check only caters to those who have filed their 2020 tax returns and adjusted gross income below $75,000.

According to the Franchise Tax Board, most people will still receive their funds at the beginning of September or early October if they’re waiting for a paper check, but direct payments to bank accounts might be received earlier.

Receivers of the Golden Stimulus Checks may receive up to $1,100.

Under the American Rescue Plan, the Child Tax Credit was increased from $2,000 per child to $3,600 for each child under 6 years old and $3,000 for children between the ages of 6 and 17.

Receivers of these checks will receive half of their expected payment on a monthly basis unless a person opts out. Taxpayers will receive the second half of what they’re owed after they file their taxes.

Homeowner Assistance Fund

Qualifiers must prove to have suffered financial hardships after January 21, 2020, and have income that’s either equal to or lesser than 150 percent of the area median income or 100 percent of the national median income.

People haven’t stopped trying to call for a fourth stimulus check. A change.org petition has garnered 3 million signatures for $2,000 monthly payments. However, these calls haven’t gotten much traction in the House and are unlikely to get casted on for votes.
