A shooting that occurred early on Saturday morning in Archer Heights resulted in the death of a man.
According to the police, the individual was driving his vehicle close to the intersection of West 45th Street and South Pulaski Road when he was struck in the head by a gunshot.
The police stated that he was transported to a hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office was able to determine that the deceased individual was Ismael Yanez, who was 42 years old.

When the shots were fired, it was not immediately clear where they originated from. There was no one being held in custody. Officers are continuing their investigation.
