Another Murder Oakland police update On the 30-day Plan to Combat Gun Violence

On Tuesday, the Oakland Police Department provided an update to the public on its efforts to lower violence in the city. It happens as the city struggles to deal with an uptick in shootings and violent crime.

Chief LeRonne L. Armstrong provided an update on his 30-day strategy to stop gun violence during the news conference. Chief Armstrong also discussed the department’s new grant funds. Meanwhile, Monday afternoon saw another homicide in Oakland.

A man who had been shot was discovered by police in the 1400 block of 96th Avenue. He was given medical attention, but he passed away.
