Annual Food Bank Support by Lake Country Firefighters

The Lake Country Firefighters are getting ready for their annual food bank campaign, which takes place over the holiday season, which is a period set aside for charitable giving.

A number of fire engines will be traveling throughout the district in order to interact with members of the community and collect donations for the Lake Country Food Bank.

On December 3, teams will be present in Carr’s Landing from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on December 5, teams will be present in Oyama, Winfield, and Okanagan Centre that will begin at 6 p.m.

Food banks are in need of a variety of items, including cash, gift cards, non-perishable foods, and personal care products, among other things.

It is possible for individuals who are not at home but still wish to make a donation to leave the products on their porch with a tag that indicates that they are for the food bank.

In order to bring the campaign to a close, Station 71 in Winfield is doing a drive-through donation drop off from ten in the morning to one in the afternoon.
