The 61-year-old Warrenville resident Timothy K. Arrell was killed in a motorbike accident earlier today. The Aiken County Coroner’s Office is presently looking into the incident.
This morning, at around 8:39 AM, an incident occurred on the eastbound lane of Interstate 20, close to mile marker 22. When the accident happened, Mr. Arrell was riding his 2004 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
He lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected from it as it went off the left side of the road, according to early reports.

After quickly arriving on the scene, emergency personnel took Mr. Arrell to Aiken Regional Medical Centers, where doctors and nurses battled valiantly to preserve his life. Sadly, in spite of their best attempts, he passed away from his wounds and was declared dead at the hospital.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Aiken County Coroner’s Office are both actively participating in the current inquiry.
As they continue to look into the specifics of the tragedy, authorities are awaiting the results of a toxicology analysis.
