A Man Was Arrested for Attacking His Mother in New York
The New York Post reported that a man with a knife was arrested for reportedly trying to drag his mother to an ATM nearby while threatening to kill her.
The suspect, whose name the police have not yet released, was arrested around 8:30 a.m. on Monday on New York’s West 43rd Street after a dog walker who saw the whole thing called 911.
One of the witnesses said that the accused son grabbed her mother by the hair and pushed her down the street.

The suspect came out of a building holding his mother’s hair and telling people to stay away. He is said to have yelled, “Don’t come near me, I’m going to kill her!”
“She was trying to resist, but I asked if everything was okay because I didn’t see that he had a knife. Then he said ‘stop talking’ and said he was going to kill her. Then I saw the knife when they walked past me, so I waved someone a little further down that something was going on, and then I called 911,” the witness told New York Post.
The accused was arrested and put on a stretcher in pictures shared by the New York Post. He was wearing an odd red and blue body suit. Police officers were also present. A woman, who is probably the victim, is seen talking to a police officer.
Two police officers were hurt during the arrest. One was cut in the hand while taking the suspect’s gun away, and the other hurt his knee.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) has not yet decided what charges to bring.
