Karie Davies, an Irvine police spokesperson, said the two adults were discovered at about 4 p.m. in Social Science Plaza B and were related to each other. The man had enrolled at UCI in 2019, although neither of them was a student.
It was unclear whether or not anyone had seen an incident between the two
According to Davies, it was unclear whether or not anyone had seen an incident between the two. Irvine Police were familiar with the suspect. However, Davies was unable to say for what reasons. On Tuesday night, UCI Chancellor Howard Gillman issued a statement addressing the situation.
Law enforcement has assured us there is no active threat to the community. Still, we are gathering information about the victims and the incident’s circumstances. On December 9, the end of the fall quarter was marked on the calendar at UCI.
