A raging fire in Tuscarawas County tragically claimed the lives of a family of six.
The loss of a family that appears to include a mother, father, and four little girls has devastated the neighborhood and surrounding area. The Tuscarawas County Coroner has not conclusively identified the victims. The bodies are currently in the medical examiner’s office in Cuyahoga County, where they will undergo further analysis.
However, friends, family, and acquaintances are already grieving for a family of six whose home was destroyed in a fire. Every single kid they were an angel. Adrianna Clay, a neighbor, and distant relative spoke glowingly of the family.
Kitty Clay, her mother, remarked, “I couldn’t do anything.”
Kitty and her daughter Adrianna are next-door neighbors on Spaulding Avenue in Newcomerstown to the house that burned down early on Monday morning. Firefighters from neighboring agencies assisted those from the community in Tuscarawas County.
It was at 1 a.m., and I heard a tremendous boom when I was in the basement. When I sprinted upstairs, I was sure someone had broken in. Adrianna said, “I ran upstairs and saw the entire side of the home engulfed in crimson flames.” “The fire started between 12:30 and 1:00, and by 2:30, the house was on the ground,” Kitty recalled.
According to Kitty and Adrianna, the Elliotts and the Hendricks, who have four girls between the ages of five and fourteen, were more than just neighbors. Kitty displayed a snapshot from last year’s Christmas in which her spouse posed as Santa
I thought the world of Alyssa Rain. She always had been since birth. Abigail, Ariel, and Addison were the prettiest girls you’d ever see. Those who are “extremely nice and compassionate,” as Kitty put it.
This mother had a golden heart. The kids weren’t even trying to be wrong. As a rule, you can count on Terrin to be there whenever you require assistance. Everyone agreed that Leroy was the best possible dad to their kids. Adrianna claimed her husband “would have gone to his death fighting to safeguard those children.”
Our hearts are heavy as we begin to grasp the immensity of this loss,” Superintendent Jason Peoples says
On Monday night, a couple of hundred people gathered in the parking lot of Christ United Methodist Church, which is conveniently located near the residence.
I just watched from where I was. Kitty explained that she had ensured the safe removal of the deceased. “I made sure they got our angels out safely, to be in the hands of God and to be able to lay them to rest,” she claimed.
According to the neighbors, the family also lost their dogs All Newcomerstown school families are invited to a grief support session at West Elementary School tomorrow from 3 to 6 p.m.
When classes resume on Tuesday, January 3, and beyond, we will have extra counselors and support personnel available to meet the needs of our kids. The state’s fire marshal is aiding with the inquiry. No one knows what started the fire as of yet.
