SAN FRANCISCO — A man who was caught with almost 8 pounds of drugs in the Tenderloin District on Saturday was charged with multiple drug-related felonies, according to a news release from the San Francisco District Attorney’s office on Wednesday.
Miguel Ramos, 24, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday by police investigating a battery and criminal threats report near Golden Gate Avenue and Larkin Street, just north of the Civic Center Plaza.
Found Fentanyl, Cocaine and Methamphetamine
When they arrested Ramos, they found 7.9 pounds (3.6 kg) of drugs, of which 3.5 kg were fentanyl and the rest were cocaine and methamphetamine.
Ramos was charged with having fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine with the intent to sell them. He was also charged with misdemeanour assault with a deadly weapon.

Jenkins said in the statement, “The amount of fentanyl on our streets has reached a crisis level.”
“The fact that Ramos had almost 8 pounds of fentanyl, which is enough to kill more than the entire population of San Francisco, shows that we can’t let drug dealers operate freely in our city any longer. My office will work with SFPD to make sure this person is brought to justice.”
The district attorney also plans to file a motion to keep the defendant in jail until the trial.
