A 10-Year-Old Girl Accidentally Shot Herself in the Hand, According to Chicago Police-She Found the Gun Inside a Home

Chicago police say a 10-year-old girl is in the hospital after shooting herself in the hand with a gun she found in her residence. The Chicago Police Department said it occurred on Friday around 5:20 p.m. in the 6500 block of South California Avenue. The Chicago Lawn neighborhood is where you’ll find this.

According to authorities, a family member brought the girl to Holy Cross Hospital. She’s doing fine at the moment. Detectives have stated that no one has been taken into custody, although it is unclear if anyone will be charged. Investigators have yet to find everything.
