After colliding head-on with another car on Halloween, a 72-year-old Lake County man lost his life.
The incident happened in unincorporated Zion on West Russell Road just before 9:15 a.m., according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Following an initial inquiry, it was discovered that a 46-year-old male from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was driving a Ford F-150 when it entered the eastbound lanes of traffic on Russell Road and proceeded incorrectly.
The Ford struck the Chevrolet Malibu head-on as it was heading east, striking Harold Glasscock, the casualty. Glasscock was declared dead at the scene after suffering severe injuries.

After suffering severe injuries, the Ford’s driver was taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Collision Investigations Team is still looking into the collision.
