A special Atlanta Public Safety Commission meeting has been called so locals can discuss ways to lessen youth violence. Two weeks after, teens killed two boys, ages 12 and 15, and injured others on the 17th Street bridge near Atlantic Station.
A meeting has been scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on December 13 at Atlanta City Hall. While other suspects are still being sought, police have announced two arrests in the homicide probe. Zion Charles, 12, was one of the children shot and murdered near Atlantic Station. His mother reportedly told members of the city council that she wanted her son placed in juvenile jail due to his criminal conduct.
