An investigation has been launched following a a boating mishap that took place in the El Jobean region of Charlotte County.

Details of the Incident
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) reported that a boat carrying seven passengers was involved in the incident.
Six individuals from the boat were taken to a nearby medical center for assessment. Both FWC and the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office are collaborating to determine the cause of the accident.

Rescue and Current Condition
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, the 39-foot boat overturned and was the only vessel engaged in the incident. Everyone on board has been found.
Passers-by on another boat helped those in the water until emergency personnel arrived to bring them to shore for medical treatment. Fortunately, the injuries sustained were not fatal.
