Chicago police say a young boy, aged 3, was accidentally shot in the leg near Austin on Thursday night.
According to the Chicago Police Department, an adult male in residence on the 100 block of North Latrobe accidentally fired his revolver while attempting to holster it.
The young youngster, aged 3, took a blow on the shin. Chicago police said he was in good condition when EMS brought him to Stroger Hospital.
Currently, there is no additional information available. Police did not comment on whether or not someone was in custody or whether or not charges would be filed.
The investigators from area 4 are looking into it.
