3 Programs To Earn You Money Than Stimulus Checks

Several more stimulus checks are yet to come before the year 2021 ends. Millions of Americans will receive them very soon.

Before the end of the year, two more checks will be sent. They will be six in total. The next is scheduled for November 15. In addition, on December 15 there will be one more child tax credit check.

A few hundred dollars will be given to eligible families per eligible child. Family members will receive either $300 for children under the age of six, or $250 for children ages six to 17. In addition, the recipient families will also get the same amount in tax credits next year.

There is, however, another type of stimulus check update that must also be communicated. Federal government payments of millions to Americans don’t just come from the IRS.

There are a variety of ways that Americans can get paid through stimulus programs from states and localities around the country, beyond receiving a check from the IRS. As part of this post, we’ll examine some of those programs aimed at putting money in people’s bank accounts.

Save More Money Through Broadband Discounts

Families can benefit from stimulus funds in a variety of other ways.

For example, the Federal Communications Commission offers a temporary discount on broadband services to low-income households. Because of things like work-from-home scenarios, connectivity has become more important than ever as a result of the pandemic.

A household eligible for this program can receive a $50 discount on their broadband bill (and a $75 discount if they live on tribal land). There will also be a one-time discount of up to $100 on laptops and computers for some people.

Get Extra Cash Through Rental incentives and Homeowner Incentives

You may also be eligible for help if you’re having trouble paying your rent or house note.

Knowing about the homeowners’ assistance fund is important for homeowners. However, please note that in order to be eligible for assistance, applicants must show that they have been financially burdened by the pandemic. As well as mortgage payments and homeowner’s insurance, this money can, therefore also be used and even for other purposes.

President Biden signed a stimulus law earlier this year, which set aside $46.6 billion for emergency rental assistance programs, as did the final stimulus legislation signed by Donald Trump. You must not earn more than 80% of the local median income to qualify for this money.

Additionally, depending on where you live, there may be other requirements related to receiving the fund. Also, to qualify for this grant, recipients must have experienced some kind of financial hardship due to the pandemic.

Grants For Farmers And Food Workers

The US Agriculture Secretary, Tom Vilsack, announced in September that a $700 million grant program has been set aside for working farmers. Farmers and the US meatpacking workforce will receive an initial payout of $600. Up to $20 million from the $700 million will also be distributed to grocery store employees.

This new payment is not being provided by the IRS. These funding sources will instead come from government agencies, nonprofits, and tribal governments.

“This relief is intended to defray costs for reasonable and necessary personal, family, or living expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic,” explains the program’s announcement.
