20-Year-Old Man Killed in Car-to-Car Shooting in Stockton
A young guy was shot and killed in Stockton late Tuesday night. An investigation was still going on hours later. Stockton police said they went to the area of March Lane and Pershing Avenue just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday to look into reports of a person having been shot.
Police arrived at the spot and found a 20-year-old man who had been shot. Even though police started CPR, the man was soon declared dead at the scene.

Stockton police say they think someone in a passing car shot at the victim, who was driving a different car. The victim and his car stopped in the middle of the road next to a tree.

Detectives who specialize in murder are now in charge of the case. It’s not clear what exactly led to the killing. The man who was killed has not yet been named. There were no details about the suspect that were revealed.
Because of the investigation, the area where March Lane and Pershing Avenue meet was closed in both ways. It is now open again.
