When officers attempted to pull over a car in Brooklyn on Wednesday afternoon, a shooting broke out, minorly injuring two of them. The incident took place in the Canarsie neighborhood at Rockaway Parkway and Shore Parkway around 2:00 pm.
Officials said that after an attempted traffic stop there, shots were fired. Police were seeking to stop a car that might have been involved in a prior shooting. The policemen were transported to adjacent hospitals in good health.
Numerous detectives and police officers were searching the area for evidence. Two suspects, a man and a woman, fled in a black Mercedes traveling east on Rockaway Parkway before leaving the vehicle near Pennsylvania Avenue and Seaview Avenue. The inquiry is ongoing, and no one has been taken into custody.
