According to the Illinois State Police, two people were hurt in a three-car collision on I-55 on Chicago’s Southwest Side on Monday morning.
The incident occurred at around 8:48 AM on Central Avenue and the Stevenson Expressway.
An investigation revealed that a fast car collided with another, launched into the air and performed multiple flips before crashing head-on into a third vehicle.
For many hours, northbound I-55 traffic was rerouted off at Harlem Avenue.
At 2:22 p.m., all lanes of I-55 were back open, according to ISP.
According to the police, two persons were injured and sent to the hospital.
