Before 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, a woman was shot and injured in the Washington Heights area.
Before 2 a.m. on the 9900 block of South Halsted Street, a 19-year-old woman was riding in a car when gunfire erupted, striking her in the arm.
She was taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where her condition was reported to be satisfactory by responding officers.
At this time, no suspects have been taken into custody as Area Two detectives continue their inquiries.
