16-year-old Boy Arrested for Stabbing Friend in Santa Rosa After Argument
Police reported on Wednesday that a teenager from Santa Rosa had been arrested following a fight with a buddy that resulted in a stabbing.
The event took place in the vicinity of W. 9th St. and Warren Lane, just west of N. Dutton Ave., on Tuesday at approximately 12:25 p.m. A 16-year-old boy had a single, non-life-threatening stabbing wound when Santa Rosa Police reported their officers arrived.

According to authorities, the suspect—a 16-year-old boy as well—was taken into custody there.
The victim and the suspect are acquaintances, and the police investigating the incident discovered that they had been engaged in a furious quarrel inside the suspect’s house.

According to authorities, the fight went on as the victim was leaving the house, his friend pursuing him, and he was eventually stabbed in the back with a four-inch folding knife.
Police stated that detectives who took over the case did not think the attack was motivated by gang activity or had anything to do with school.
For the charge of assault with a deadly weapon, officers took the 16-year-old suspect into custody and placed him in Sonoma County Juvenile Hall.
