According to the Rockland County Police Department, a young girl who was only one years old passed away as a result of injuries she sustained in a car accident.
According to the police, a collision occurred between a Nissan Pathfinder and a box truck on Route 303 in Valley Cottage, close to Hillside Lane, at approximately nine in the morning.
The driver of the Nissan Pathfinder, along with her two children, a boy who was three years old and a girl who was one years old, were sent to a nearby hospital for medical care respectively.

According to the police, the infant, who was just one year old, passed away as a result of her injuries. Recuperating are the mother, who is 31 years old, and the boy, who is three years old.
The driver of the box truck needed to be rescued by the firefighters who responded to the scene. He is also healing at a nearby hospital, according to the police, who say he was transferred there.

There was a seven-hour closure of Route 303 while the police conducted their investigation.
There has been no investigation into what caused the collision as of yet.
