1 Dead in Fatal Shooting at Oakbrook Terrace Hotel
A shooting that took place at a suburban hotel on Saturday night resulted in the death of one individual, and an investigation is currently underway.
A report of shots being fired was received by the police at approximately 8:30 p.m., and officers were dispatched to the Hilton Suites located in the first block of Drury Lane.
According to the authorities, they discovered a casualty as soon as they arrived at the hotel and immediately began taking measures to save their life. Following their injuries, the victim was taken to a nearby hospital, however they ultimately succumbed to their injuries and die.

As the police looked for a suspect, several sources indicate that the hotel was placed under lockdown while the investigation was ongoing. Ultimately, the search led to the discovery of a person of interest, who was subsequently taken into custody.

According to the police, the gunshot is being treated as a “isolated incident,” and there is no ongoing threat to the general public.
Oakbrook Terrace police and the DuPage County Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigative Team are in charge of the investigation, and it is anticipated that additional information will be made public at a later time.
